  PVA Concentrate

Mixing Ratio: regular water@3 ltrs per kg of pva to be mixed

However more water can be added as per suitability.

  Accelerator

Our accelerator ( Cobolt Octoate) is 6%, highly viscous (around 200 cps) and leaves no color tone when mixed in the resin. Our Acclerator & Hardner Systems are the fastest in India, the following chart demonstrates:

GELTIMES OF POLYESTERS RESINS ( Persentage by weight of resin)
Chemical Summer Season
+35 Degree
Rainy Season
below 35 degree
Winter Season
below 20 degree
Accelarator 0.3% to 0.4% 0.4% to 0.5% 0.6% to 0.8%
Hardner 1% 1.25% 1.5%
The above ratio will give a gel time of 12-15 minutes and cure time of 12 minutes thereafter.
CONSUMPTION PER 1000 KGS OF RESIN
Chemical Summer Season
35 Degree
Rainy Season
below 35 degree
Winter Season
below 20 degree
Accelarator 3 to 4 kg 4 to 5 kg 6 to 8 kg
Hardner 10 kg 12.5 kg 15 kg
The above ratio will give a gel time of 12-15 minutes and cure time of 12 minutes thereafter.

Application: Mix the accelerator with the resin first, subsequently mix the hardner to the resin.

Precaution: never mix accelerator and hardner together.

  Lamination Rollers
The typical hand layup usually results in excess resin, and resin is very brittle, so any excess resin actually will weaken the laminate.

Advantages of using the rollers are :
1)compaction of fiber and resin laminate.
2)create an even and smooth laminate surface.
3)Remove Entrapped air bubbles / voids between each layer.
4)excess resin is squeezed off.
5)Increased productivity and product consistency.
6)savings of resin.
